 Summer Schedule

Spring classes end Thursday May 28th

We are closed the first week of June
    (Tuesday June 2nd & Thursday June 4th)

Summer classes start Tuesday June 9th for 12 weeks

Summer classes end Thursday August 27th

Children’s Aikido classes remain 4 pm - 5 pm

Cost for Children’s Aikido summer classes:
    $25/month,   OR  $60 advance payment for the 12 weeks

Tai Chi Celebrations coming up

 In 2025 UNESCO declared March 21st 2026 International Tai Chi Day -

 we will be celebrating this by going through the long form outside in the orchard on that Saturday March 21st at 10 am 

World Tai Chi and Qigong Day (a longstanding tradition) is on the last Saturday of April - April 26th this year - 

we will be participating here, outside in the orchard, with Qigong exercises at 10 am and the Tai Chi long form after that

Beginning Tai Chi Classes

 We've added Beginning Tai Chi classes on:

Wednesday evenings     6 pm - 6:30 pm

Friday mornings           9 am - 9:30 am 

                                        10 am - 10:30 am  

First month of tai chi classes is FREE

9 am     Beginning Tai Chi class  (usually on a Friday)

9:30 am  Intermediate Tai Chi     (usually on a Friday)

10 am     Tai Chi Long Form        (the usual Tuesday/Thursday class)

10:45 am  Tai Chi Sword Form

Tai chi warm-ups, chi gung exercises, and the short (5 minute) first section

Emphasis on keeping it easy, comfortable, relaxed

                     There are no classes the week of July 4th    (Tuesday July 1st and Thursday July 3rd)

Cost is $50 for the Summer Program

Classes are Tuesday & Thursday mornings

6 - 12 year olds : 10 am - 11 am

4 - 6 year olds : 9 am - 9:45 am

Visiting friends and relatives can also attend classes with your child, with at least a 2 day notice and a $5 mat fee.

Volunteer Opportunity with Friends of Ladd Marsh

Message from Friends of Ladd Marsh:

“Each year we spend part of a Saturday picking up litter in preparation of the festival. 

This year’s Ladd Marsh Clean-up Day is scheduled for Saturday, May 10th.   

We meet at the Ladd Marsh HQ at 9:00 am. 

Bring gloves and wear work clothes. We have grabbers and trash bags.  

We hope to pick-up Peach Lane as it traverses through the heart of the Ladd Marsh Wildlife Area. We could really use some volunteers to help with the event.
