Celebrate Earth Day, help pollinators, and support native wildflowers
by helping pull invasive weeds at Gangloff Park on Saturday April 23rd from 9 am - 11 am. You can come any time during those two hours and leave whenever you want to; there is no expectation that you need to stay for the whole 2 hours.
Botanist Susan Geer will help get us started at 9 am with an introduction to the difference between native plants and weeds.
Please bring gloves, sturdy shoes, hat, water, and whatever else you would need to pull weeds.
We will provide garbage bags for the weeds!
This is a joint project with the William Cusick chapter of the Native Plant Society of Oregon, Hells Canyon Preservation Council, and Classes at the Orchard - taking care of a little stretch of the park for community benefit.
This is a GREAT project for families and kids, and a GREAT opportunity for community service.
